The show was axed after five seasons as part of a sweep by bosses at CBS. Jennifer, sources reveal, is feeling depressed about the situation because she likes to throw herself into her work when her love life isn't going well. The actress recently split from boyfriend Jamie Kennedy and new reports suggest her latest squeeze, John Asher, is using her for money. "Jennifer just didn't see it coming," a source close to the actress said of the cancellation of Ghost Whisperer. "That show was her life. She always threw herself into her work when she was feeling down about her love life. "It's come as a real blow and she's feeling quite depressed that she could be out of work for quite some time." Hewitt recently insisted her split from Kennedy was "a mutual decision, and we've parted as friends." "There's no anger, there's no upset, there's no enemies," she said. "It's been totally fine," Hewitt said of working with Kennedy. "It's really a testament to who he is and to who I am. We're both grown-ups." The actress also revealed she wasn't excited about being single. "I don't like to go out to clubs and party. I'm not into 'Let's go out with one guy on a Monday and another guy on a Wednesday' – that's just not me," she said in March. "I'm a relationship kind of girl. I like a twosome. Once again I watch a program and it has been a big part of my Friday night since it started. Now it is true that I started because of how beautiful Jennifer is but the stories and messages made me a fan of "The Ghost Whisperer" very quickly. If you are going to cancel something make it " Medium" that show is dying. Thanks Jennifer for a great show. I personally will miss you on Fridy nights.

WHY end all the good shows!! This IS our Friday night! I've always been a huge fan of Love (Party of Five!) and I think this is one of the best shows on TV! So sick of "reality" TV….Shame of you CBS…and Love we will follow any show you do! Hang in there!

This is my favorite show of all times and I hate to see it cancelled. This show really helped me when my husband passed 5 yrs ago. I don't care what people say, spirits do stay behind because i have witnessed it. Jennifer put's her love into this show and like the other comments, cancel Medium.

Jenifer will just have to get a new show. I think the ghost show was very well done, but CBS figured the theme was not popular anymore. But the actress is popular, and they should keep her working.

Maybe ABC will pick up Ghost Whisperer (yes, please please pleas ABC) or even better yet, you can even get a series of movies started. I would love to see Ghost Whisperer on the big screen. It isn't like it hasn't been done before and all your fans will go and see them all includeing those that have been missing out on exactly how fantastic Ghost Whisperer is.

How can the Tv Insustry dissappoint so many viewers who have been watching for years. There is nothing pornographic about this show and it is also very popular. Please find your way back! ghost whisperer is one of a handfull of shows i enjoy. i even watch all the repeats over and over. why was it dropped. think twice please

I have missed my Friday night"Ghost Whisperer" tremendously, having at times gone to the CBS site to watch any full episode they provide ocassionally. There is another show that is like GW. Medium is on right after GW and also on Lifetime Network with reruns. It is one of my favorite shows. With The Mentalist, Mercy, House, Castle and the Good Wife. Screw reality television. It is so over and boring.

It's a freakin TV show. A drama-entertainment one at that. If it actually "helped" anyone, there is a bigger problem than it being axed. Btw, odds are another station will simply pick up what is currently available for this.
Actually it did help my Auntie Viola. She lost her husband to a melanoma and after watching that show, she contacted a medium and she helped my Aunt communicate with my late Uncle Paddy. Turns out he is running a casino in the afterlife just like he did here on earth. So I would have to agree that it does help people a good deal.

I hate to hear the show is being cancelled. My family and I really enjoyed the story lines and how the show entertained us. It would be great if another network would pickup the show so the story can continue on. Many lives have been touched by this show.
